Choose a Diet High in Protein

It is important to choose the right type of foods to eat each day. For example, you should try to stick with a high protein diet. Fitness experts recommend eating approximately one gram of protein per pound of body weight per day. So a 200 pound person should try to eat around 100 grams per day.

Eating protein is important because it takes quite a bit of calories to digest. This helps to increase your metabolism and reduce your body fat. It also means that you will keep your hard earned muscle mass. Good sources of lean protein include fish, eggs, chicken and protein shakes.

Choose Foods Low in Carbohydrates

This meal should be very light and should include carbohydrates and protein. After your workout, you should also eat a light meal that contains carbohydrates and protein. By doing this, you can help your metabolism to stay at peak efficiency. This means that you will reduce the amount of your food that you store as fat.
