The Muscle Maximizer

Pros of the Product

• The product has a spokesman who is very excited and enthusiastic about the system. Excitement is always key to successful advertising and sales. He also has great “before” and “after” photos that appear to support claims.

• The spokesman’s story identifies with the average kid who attempts his best effort to build an impressive physique through weightlifting and addresses some of the most common mistakes people make while attempting to build muscle.

• The product tells the truth about nutrition. Nutrition is the biggest factor when attempting to lose fat or gain muscle. However, it is extremely difficult to do both at the same time. One requires caloric restriction while the other requires additional caloric intake. This system seems to have solved this issue without expensive food supplements.

• The advertisement was also scientific. Knowledge equals instant credibility. The information regarding varying nutritional needs on training days versus non training days is not generally considered by most people. Also, anabolic windows and pathways are not generally understood by the average individual, but these terms easily capture attention and place the spokesman in a position of authority.

Cons of the Product

• The results sound too good to be true. The promise of unbelievable slabs of muscle in record breaking time seems impossible without supplementation. As a result, the product must fight against years of advertising that communicates the importance of pills and proteins.

• Being admired by “hot women” is a very shallow and childish reason to pursue fitness. This approach severely limits the targeted market to young men in their late teens to early 20’s. If the product does what it claims, a nobler goal would broaden audience appeal to older gentlemen who desperately need to retain muscle to slow physical complications produced as a result of age related muscle atrophy.
